Focusing on Where We’re Going

March 29th, 2009

ks998151Even when we drive a car, we focus on where we want to go.
The seat is directed forward, driver points forward,
our head points forward, our eyes point forward,
the headlights, forward again, the tires point forward with flexibility.

You have a vehicle for getting you where you want to go, your mind.
But many times our minds look something like a cartoon.

The car is facing one way, seats point up,
driver turned backward in the seat, eyes closed,
headlights on the back of the car so we can see where we have been.
Tires flat.

By finding thoughts that feel better we focus on what we want,
little by little, until we have a beautiful vehicle (mind), all pointing forward.
that will take us any where we want to go.

Our thinking becomes clearer.
We stop fighting with ourselves and get everything moving in the same direction.
We focus our mind, our attention.
When this happens look out because we’ll be impossible to stop.

Oh yea, what about the doing, you ask?
That will come as easily as a quiet Sunday morning.
Doing always follows thinking.

Who Do I Mean?

March 26th, 2009

istock_000000785417mediumWhen I say me, who do I mean?  self, ego, mind, emotions, desires, love, the one who knows, the one who is still learning, listener, valuer, joiner, alone one, follower, leader, joyous one, angry one, sad one, creator, allower, appreciator, God, man,………….

I mean all those things, I mean me – one me – with one voice.  Just me, any of that, all of that, none of that!  Me!  Combined, shaken, mixed and me!

When I say me, who do I mean?  My neighbors, my children, the lady at the electric company, my husband, my extended family, our government leaders, the animals, the trees, the earth, The All That Is, Me, Me, Me!

And I also know who you are, You, You, You!   Same as me, only You!

Back Up and See

March 22nd, 2009

ks99830Take a few steps back from something and it looks different.  A few more, different still.

When the sages instruct us to let go of the world, that’s what they mean.  Step back until you see things from a new perspective, over and over and over until you notice you can step completely out of the picture.  ‘To be in the world but not of it’, as one sage put it.

One of the challenges for us is the desire to bring everybody with us.  We can get hung up here.  When we look at the state of the world, or when we see the frustration or pain of anther we want to help.  We feel we cannot go forward because we would be abandoning others and that would be very selfish.

Here’s what’s going on:

1. The desire you feel to help is real, it’s you and it’s love.

2. Through their deep desire to help and their realization that we are all One Being, the sages have found another much more powerful way to help.

3. The sage can see as he moves further away, that we are together -One Being- and that each life, each one of us, effects the whole being.  Like the cells in your arm.  Each one has an effect on the whole.  So, if one of the whole becomes open to the flow of life, the source, that one creates a powerful opening that allows the reception of life for the entire organism.

As one person he may only be able to effect a portion of the forearm with this vitalized energy.  But the sage understands it only takes a few openings by a few sages to really change the whole organism.

4. The sage chooses to follow the voice of his soul. And comes to understand that he cannot tune in to his own voice without quieting or disconnecting from the voices of this world.  So he begins the process of focusing on the voice of his Self.

5. And with the desire to help in place, the sage follows the voice of the inner knowing on a path toward a whole new view of himself and his world.

6. The view from this place he’s been led to by the inner voice is beautiful.  He no longer considers the chaotic doing, thinking or feeling of others, he only sees their heart, he recognizes the voice of the self that sings freely and beautifully in everybody, the voice that never went away, but was just covered by the chatter of the world.  Now the sage, having tuned himself to that voice within himself, recognizes the same in everyone and everything.

When you meet this person you meet unconditional love.  Love that has given up all conditions and flows freely.  Love who sees who you really are.

This person changes himself, his immediate world, and the greater collective voice in a very powerful way and demonstrates great peace and joy in so doing.

And So It Is For Me

March 21st, 2009

ks99901If we follow every thing we say with

“and so it is for me”

we would be much more careful what we say.

Try it.

Freedom

March 19th, 2009

sunset1

No matter how you experience this idea of freedom I think it boils down to one thing……I get to do, have, be what I want.  I get to make my own choices.

You could divide the stream of life into two parts:

Part 1  Becoming aware of my desireThis is about allowing and feeling:

  • Noticing that I want something
  • Allowing it to get bigger, if it does
  • Feeling to see if I really want it
  • Deciding, yes, I really do want that
  • Finding the essence of what I want

Part 2   Supporting my desires.   This is about appreciating and thinking.

  • Finding a way for my desire to be OK with me
  • Finding a way to look at what I want that makes it valuable
  • Encouraging myself to follow my bliss (another word for what I want)
  • Dealing with my thoughts that don’t believe I can, will, should, am worthy of, whatever it is I want.
  • Trusting that we can all have what we want here, no matter what it looks like to the contrary.

Moving forward with life means awareness of what I want and the courage to mentally take myself toward it.  When you are this lined up with who you are things happen, life starts, new ideas come, people come, opportunity comes.

You are free to persue your life, your way!

The Book: The Path of Enlightenment

March 16th, 2009

book-cover-teaThe book is ready.  It is my humble attempt to be a part of the lives of others in a helpful way and to allow my own self expression and value.

In November of 2007 something happened to me, I had a dream and I started to see my whole life in a different way.  I’m not sure why or how things changed for me, after 30 years of seeking; but during the next several months I began to have awareness’ that I’d never had before.  I wrote and wrote during the following 14 months, I am still writing.  I changed my ideas about myself and my world during this time.

I have made many of my ideas available in the form of an e-book.  I know these ideas are valuable and I know the power of them.  They are small bits of information that you can use to empower yourself along your own personal path of self awareness.

The Value of Projections

March 13th, 2009

ks99851Everybody in your life is a projection of you in some way.  I know you’ve heard that—but do you know how to use this information in a practical way?

When I have any uncomfortable thoughts about another person I find a quiet place and I sit down and write.  I make a list of everything that bugs me about them.  Then I put my name in for theirs and I have a wealth of information about how I really see myself.

Now I can look at each thing on the list and see if I can see that in myself.  If there are any I can’t see – I look closer and get more exact on what bugs me in this area.  And I continue to look until I find how I am like this other person in every area that really bugs me.

Some things I am aware of and some things not.  After I see myself from this new vantage point, I can redecide what I believe and how I want to act.  Also, I am much more allowing of the other person I was projecting on because I know how it is to not be able to see myself.

Here is an example: Ken and I spent the weekend with another couple, by the time I got home I wanted to rip something up!  I sat down and made my list, I was having trouble finding my issues so I looked deeper.  I realized that what really bugged me was how they continually talked between themselves in my presence on subjects they wanted to teach me about even though they knew I didn’t really agree.  OOOO, I found it!  Then I put in my name and I almost immediately could see how I did the same thing to other people in my own way.   I also realized that by doing this I was presuming that I know more about other people than they know about themselves.  And I don’t believe that is true.  I decided right then and there that I would never do this again.  And, when I am with that couple now, I am not even aware if they are doing this or not, because there is no hidden projection.

What this whole process does is make me more aware of what I believe and what I do and who I am, and who I want to be.  I am more open, more loving, more honest and more free without my blind spots.

It works, try it for a while with each person who really bugs you.  It could take a few times to get to the bottom of some things, but man is it worth it to be free.

We project what we are unaware of in ourselves.  It is a fact.  We can use this knowledge to grow beyond our wildest dreams.

Following Myself

March 11th, 2009

When we get here as children, we have an inner knowing.  Soon we are taught what is right and wrong.  And we begin, like almost everybody else here, to follow a standard.  There are a variety of standards, as many as there are individuals.

In order to grow into our selves, we will need to let go of our standard and listen to the voice of our own soul.  We haven’t listened to this much for a long time.  It takes a while and some attentive listening to revive our own voice.

I think of my own voice as the voice of Source, or all that is.  So, when I follow my own voice, I am following ‘God’.

This view eliminates the projection of Source being somebody other than me.

This following of my own voice involves trusting in who I really am, and it involves separating mentally and emotionally from all others.

But think about the benefits of understanding who I am and listening to Source Energy and following through in this physical environment.  It changes everything.  It creates an allowing for all of us.  An inflow of vitality, wisdom, love and freedom that must effect the Oneness that we all are.

As one understands more and more who one really is, then following the voice, whatever you call it, becomes more and more a natural reality of daily life.  It becomes the work that brings he who has the courage to believe, a life filled with joy, peace and love.

I know that’s what I want.

Sharing

March 8th, 2009

ks99823Kabbalah teaches that sharing in a way that encourages others to become beings of sharing is the highest form of giving.  And it has the biggest return.“  Yehuda Berg, Daily Kabbalah Tune Up

If you stop and think about sharing you’ll notice that we all already are sharing.

We share the air we breath.

We share the earth that our bodies are made of.

We share the same Sun and Moon.

And we share physical resources, only limited by our own personal belief as to how much we can enjoy.

We share all our thoughts.

Even great thinkers who have new thoughts that haven’t been thought before share these with all of us.

We share the same source, who we are, nonphysical us.

There are two areas where we don’t share.

What we want and how we feel.

These are personal.  Determined by a combination of the position of the planets when we were born, and our family of origin, and all that we as individuals have experienced.

This creates a kind of boundary.

A very natural one.

Where I follow my own feelings and my own desires.

And at the same time share freely with all of me.
